Things To Do When You’re Here

Choose Your Tree

Whether you are choosing a tree to cut from the field or picking from the pre-cut Fraser Firs, we want you to have fun finding the perfect one for you! We do provide saws, gloves and measuring sticks to help you out in the field. We keep the fresh-cut Frasers standing in water so that they stay fresh for you. We will also bale your tree and help tie it to your vehicle to help you get it home. Come any time during our Operating Hours, no appointment needed.

Sleigh Ride

The sleigh fits up to 6 people. This adventure is an additional cost of $30 per ride. The ride includes a tour of the farm, you get to plant a tree, a photo of your group, a DIY ornament for your group, and then we’ll drop you off in the field to pick out your tree for your home! You must schedule at least 24 hours in advance to ensure that you will have the opportunity to ride. Schedule your ride here!

Hayride (HayLESS this year, but still a ride!)

Grab your people and hop on the hayride! It makes its rounds through the field and back every half-hour. The hay has been replaced by benches so that we have the ability to clean them between rides.

Photo Opportunities

Throughout the farm, you’ll notice some backdrops have been created to help you make some fun memories. Some are on Candy Cane Lane, some are in the field — no matter where you are, we hope you’ll document it with photos and tag us (IG: @daysofcreationchristmastrees) so we can see how much fun you’re having too!

Hot Chocolate & Apple Cider

We usually keep some hot chocolate and apple cider warm for you when you come to visit. Grab a cup and stay warm! These beverages will still be available, but one of our team members will serve it for you instead of self-service as it has been previously. Find them under the tent next to the barn. You can play some games, roast marshmallows, or do some shopping while you wait for your tree to processed.

Family-Designed Pewter Ornament

As part of your purchase of a tree from our farm, we gift you a pewter Christmas ornament designed by our family. It’s different every year! This is always while supplies last, but our hope is to have enough for every family to receive one. Come early to have the best chance!

Roast Marshmallows

We typically have a fire going during our work day. Marshmallows and roasting sticks are available for purchase. Please see a team member to make that happen. Toasty marshmallows by a fire pit are hard to beat when the weather is chilly!

playstack

Come play on the playstack! A great opportunity to get some of the energy out before you head home (or on your way to the field if you need the kids to focus while picking the tree).

Farm Animals

We usually have a collection of animals for you to see, pet and feed. Chickens, goats, a sheep, a pig, rabbits, dogs…this can change at any given time, but they’re always happy to have visitors!

Picnic Area

Some can only come out to spend a little time, but we invite each and every one of you to spend the whole day! We have a picnic area set up under an old oak tree. Bring some snacks or a full meal and hang out with us for a while.

Trees For Troops

Our farm participates in the Trees for Troops program, which provides Christmas trees to the military families in our nation. You’ll see those donated trees in the field with red, white and blue streamers before they’re cut to be sent out. Click the above link for more information about the program. There are several ways for you to get involved too, check that out here.

Kids are welcome to play on our fort. Be sure to snap a picture of their excitement as they come down the slides!
